Learn about the Artificial Pancreas System (APS) and its components. In this seminar, we will review current standards of care, and common tools that connect the two. Topics will include a discussion of the advantages and potential challenges of using APS for diabetes management, and the long term effectiveness of APS and decision-making for customized needs.
Program PurposeTo become more knowledgeable about the artificial pancreas system and the advantages to this technology in order to make practitioners aware of the technology and procedure to better inform patients in making an informed decision

- Describe the APS and its components
- Discuss the advantages and potential challenges of using APS for diabetes management
- Identify long term effectiveness of APS and decision-making for customized needs
Intended AudienceThe AADE Webinars are knowledge-based
activities designed for individual or groups of diabetes educators, including
RNs, RDs, Pharmacists, Nurse Practitioners, Clinical Nurse Specialists,
Physician Assistants, MDs, and other health care providers interested in staying
up to date on current practices of care for their patients with diabetes and
other related conditions.
