Diabetes self-management education (DSME) is essential for the care of all people with diabetes and is necessary to prevent or delay the complications of diabetes. The National Standards for Diabetes Self-Management Education and Support are designed to define quality DSME and to assist diabetes educators in providing evidence-based education and self-management support. To develop or operate a DSME program, you need to understand more than the standards. This program is designed to provide education on the National Standards and other key components of DSME that many programs struggle with. Do you ever wonder:
