Overview
For
over seven years College Diabetes Network (CDN) has helped young adults with
diabetes connect, provided information and tools to thrive, and empowered them
to be leaders among their peers. With this presentation, staff and student
volunteers will offer a holistic approach to the challenges and resources to
help support the transition from home to living away from home for young adults
living with type 1 diabetes

the end of this presentation, the participant will be able to:

the peer support opportunities and the matched resources that the College
Diabetes Network offers

confidence while having conversations with young adults about transitioning

To satisfy the
requirements for renewal of certification for the Certification Board for
Diabetes Care and Education (CBDCE), continuing education activities must be
diabetes related and approved by a provider on the CBDCE list of Approved
Providers (www.ncbde.org). CBDCE does not approve
continuing education. The Association of Diabetes Care & Education
Specialists is on the CBDCE list of Approved Providers.

Certified Advanced Diabetes Management (BC-ADM)
ADCES
is the administering body for the Advanced Diabetes Management credentials.
Continuing education programs offered by ADCES can be used toward fulfilling
BC-ADM Certification and recertification requirements.
