Reimbursement Update for 2020

This is ADCES' annual update on
reimbursement issues and changes for 2020 for diabetes care and education specialists that may
impact DSMT and DPP. We'll also review the Final CMS 2020 Payment Rules.
We'll also have
the ADCES Director of Advocacy provide an update on legislation regarding DSMT
benefits under Medicare.
Learners will gain understanding on
how to maintain appropriate reimbursement for DSMT or DPP programs and
understand reimbursement changes and legislation updates for 2020.

Care and Education Specialists
To satisfy the
requirements for renewal of certification for the Certification Board for
Diabetes Care and Education (CBDCE), continuing education activities must be
diabetes related and approved by a provider on the CBDCE list of Approved
Providers (www.ncbde.org). CBDCE does not approve
continuing education. The Association of Diabetes Care & Education
Specialists is on the CBDCE list of Approved Providers.
Certified Advanced Diabetes Management (BC-ADM)
is the administering body for the Advanced Diabetes Management credentials.
Continuing education programs offered by ADCES can be used toward fulfilling
BC-ADM Certification and recertification requirements.
